Irgendwann ist JETZT

Irgendwann lese ich das Buch, irgendwann werde ich einen Sprachkurs machen, ja irgendwann fang ich dann mit Sport an und werde mich gut ernähren, ja irgendwann machen wir eine Weltreise ….
Irgendwann, ja eines Tages Baby…Wer kennt das nicht?
Der Auftritt von Julia Engelmann beim 5. Bielefelder Hörsaal-Slam hat so viele Menschen berührt und inspiriert, Dinge endlich anzupacken. So auch uns! Wir wollten später einmal länger reisen gehen. «Ja, das wäre toll! Ja, machen wir dann irgendwann…Ja, vielleicht wenn wir in Rente gehen und dann Zeit dafür haben…wir haben ja hier einen Job und das alles ich ja nicht so einfach… Und überhaupt, viel Geld kostet es ja auch…» Und dann kam der Moment, wo wir uns fragten, was uns eigentlich wirklich davon abhält das «Irgendwann» durch ein «JETZT» zu ersetzen? An was halten wir so fest? An unseren Jobs? An einem finanziell abgesicherten Leben, wo die Umsetzung unserer Träume irgendwo in der Zukunft liegt?

And think of all the stories we could have told
....
... when we are old and our days are short
- and that will happen anyway -
only then will we understand
we never had anything to lose
because the life we want to lead
we can choose that ourselves,
so let's write stories
which we like to tell later
let's stay up late at night
climb to the highest rooftop of the city,
laughing and singing the best songs, free of the beat.
Let's throw parties like confetti
see them travel to the ground
and celebrate the fallen feasts,
until the clouds are purple again.
And let's believe in ourselves
I don't care if this is crazy
and who looks closely sees
that courage is also just an anagram of happiness.
....
Let's go!
Let's write stories
which we like to tell later!
And one day baby we'll be old oh baby we'll be old
and think of all the stories that are ours forever.
